1. What is the course exactly?
Director Training is an online training course that
teaches you to direct and operate high quality poker
tournaments. The course is written in a secure e-book
that you can access 24/7 and study on your own time.
Forms and related materials are printable.
2. Do you offer a certificate of completion?
Yes after completing the course, users may request
your certificate of completion. You will receive
all the information needed to request a certificate
when you have completed the course. This certificate
will be a great door opener to help you land your
first job. There is no additional charge for certificates.
3. How long does the course take?
This depends on the person taking the course. If
you are relatively new and inexperienced with poker
the course will take longer than if you already
play a lot of poker and have a good understanding
of what is needed. You can read the entire course
in the matter of a day, but putting the pieces of
the puzzle together efficently takes practice, time
and study. A realistic time frame for having enough
confidence in your TD'ing abilities to put on a
large, 100+ player tourney would be 30-40 hours
of study and practice.
4. What qualifies you to teach poker tournament
direction?
Since April of 2004 we have been operating a local
poker league, holding no limit texas holdem events
in Atlanta. During that time we have refined our
processes and developed a set of standards and practices
to ensure that we run a high quality event. We have
also worked with some of the best and brightest
in the poker world to develop this course. You can
read more about the poker league we operate in Atlanta
by visiting Atlanta
Poker Club. We also created the best selling
online poker
dealing school and poker
league software for points management.
5. Is there help available for questions
that might arise while taking the course?
You can email us 24/7 at support@dealer-training.com
with any specific questions and we'll be glad to
help. For general questions and help with a unique
situation, we've created a Poker
Etiquitte and Rules section of our active forum
where you can ask us questions in an open forum.
The course also provides information and links to
many other quality online resources where answers
and help can be found.
